The UK Food Standards Agency (“FSA”) reports the following Peas are subject to recall:

  • Gourmet on the Go Wasabi Peas, sold in 198 gram plastic pouches; all best-before dates and batch/lots are affected by this recall notification

==> No barcodes, UPCs, EANs, or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

Please consult the photograph above for details of the food’s packaging, design and retail presentation. One (1) additional image of the recalled Wasabi Peas are pictured on the Web site above.

According to the FSA, this product contains undeclared Wheat (Gluten), making it a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to either Wheat and/or Gluten.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled Wasabi Peas and could be allergic to their Wheat and or Gluten ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household rubbish, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.
