The UK Food Standards Agency (“FSA”) reports the following Punjabi Wadi are subject to recall:

  • Heera Punjabi Wadi, sold in packages of 300 grams with a batch/lot code of PB8370 and a best-before end date of December 2019

==> No barcodes, UPCs, EANs or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the FSA, P&B (Food) Ltd. has recalled the above batch/lots of Heera Punjabi Wadi because they contains undeclared Gluten and Soya, ingredients not identified on the product label. This means the recalled Wadi is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to Soya or an intolerance to Gluten.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Heera Punjabi Wadi and could be allergic to their Gluten and Soya ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household rubbish, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.
