Additional information:
The United States Department of Agriculture (“USDA”) reports the following Beef Pot Roast products are subject to this recall:

  • 15-ounce plastic trays of Publix branded Homestyle Beef Pot Roast with Seasoned Gravy with a batch/lot code of 72487338, a case code of 09080/43303 and a use-or-freeze-by date of December 4, 2017.

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the USDA, the Beef Pot Roast products subject to recall bear establishment number “EST. 17789B” inside the USDA mark of inspection. These items were shipped to retail locations in Florida and Georgia.

The problem was discovered on October 4, 2017, when a consumer reported that she purchased a product labeled as Beef Pot Roast but discovered the product inside was actually Beef Meatloaf, a food product that contains Soybean Oil and Wheat.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled Beef Pot Roast and could be allergic to their Soybean Oil and/or Wheat ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure small children and pets can’t access the suspect food.
