The United States Department of Agriculture (“USDA”) reports the following Chicken products are subject to this recall:

  • 1.75-pound (approximate catch weight per package) plastic shrink wrapped packages of Mi Tienda Para Tacos De Pollo Casero Seasoned Diced Skinless Chicken Thighs with a freeze by -/- sell by date of October 12, 2017.

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the USDA, the Chicken products subject to recall bear establishment number “P-7231” inside the USDA mark of inspection. These items were shipped to retail locations in Texas.

The problem was discovered on October 2, 2017, when a consumer noticed an incorrect label and notified the company, which then notified US Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (“FSIS”).

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled Chicken products and could be allergic to their Wheat ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure small children and pets can’t access the suspect food.
