The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Chicken Salad Sandwiches are subject to this recall:

  • King Soopers Prepackaged Deli Chicken Salad Sandwiches, sold in 6.8 ounce packages with sell-by dates ranging from 09/20/17 to 09/28/2017 and a UPC of 663209-02050

Please consult the photograph above for details of the food’s packaging, design and retail presentation. One (1) additional image of the recalled Chicken Salad Sandwiches can be found on the Web site above.

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the FDA, King Soopers was notified by the manufacturer, Journey Cuisine, that the recalled Sandwiches may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. You should not consume any of the recalled Sandwiches.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Chicken Salad Sandwiches, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the Sandwiches to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
