EU issues 41 Product, Toy & Vehicle Recalls

Among the 41 recalls the European Union has announced in its third report of September 2017, the following notification was made:

Fast Lane / Hit-Chin Plastic Toy TractorsFast Lane / Hit-Chin Plastic Toy Tractors, sold with an item number of 927 and a barcode/UPC of 5907616680853

The type of hazard presented by the recalled Fast Lane / Hit-Chin Plastic Toy Tractors include small component detachment/availability and consequential oral damage, choking and GI tract laceration hazards. Specifically, small plastic parts can easily be detached from the toy. A child or infant may put them in the mouth and choke. If swallowed, the pieces pose additional risks and GI tract injury.

The product does not, therefore, comply with the requirements of the relevant European Union Toy Safety Directive and the relevant European standard EN 71-1 and has been ordered withdrawn from end users.
