Additional information:
The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following Baby Foods are subject to this recall:

  • Rafferty’s Garden Happy Tummies Vegetable Risotto Baby Food, sold for infants aged 8 months and older in 120 gram plastic pouches with best before dates 10 AUG 2018 and 12 AUG 2018

==> No barcodes, UPCs, APNs, or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the ACCC, the Arborio Rice used in two (2) batches of this product may contain glass. Food products containing glass may cause injury if consumed.

In general, if glass or metal fragments are ingested, they could cut the mouth, stomach or other parts of the GI tract, cause intestinal perforation or serious infection and possibly require surgical intervention for their safe removal.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household rubbish, making sure small children and pets can’t access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Baby Foods, please do not consume them directly, feed them to your child or use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
