Additional information:
The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (“CPSC”) reports this recall involves certain Nutrilife Plant Products one gallon/four liter bottles of Hydrogen Peroxide (H202) Liquid 29% Oxidizer, a product used as a source of oxygen for water, a preservative for fresh cut flowers and to keep unwanted nutrient residuals clear in reservoirs, drippers and dripper lines.

The recalled Nutrilife branded Hydrogen Peroxide was sold in white plastic bottles with a blue/green label with a handle at the top. The Nutrilife logo, H202, Liquid 29% Oxidizer and “An Oxygen Source for Water” are all printed on the front label. Bottle open and closing instructions are also printed on the bottle caps with indented lettering.

Please consult the photograph above for details of the product’s packaging, design and retail presentation. One (1) additional image of the recalled Hydrogen Peroxide can be found on the Web site above.

According to the CPSC, the bottle caps on the 29% Hydrogen Peroxide one-gallon bottles do not vent properly and can allow pressure to build up in the bottle. In turn, this defect can cause the bottle to expand and rupture, posing fire, burn and property damage hazards. Nutrilife has received one (1) report of a fire resulting in minor property damage.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Hydrogen Peroxide, please do not use it. Instead, kindly contact Nutrilife for safe handling instructions and to receive free replacement bottle caps or for instructions on how to destroy the bottles and receive a full refund.

Please note: disposal of this product must be in accordance with local municipal hazardous waste requirements to protect the drinking water supply and the ecosystem. This is a dangerous chemical: you cannot dispose of this product by simply pouring it down regular residential sewer systems.
