The United States Department of Agriculture (“USDA”) reports the following Pork products are subject to this recall:

  • Flanc Porc, Pork Belly produced by Ronald A. Chisholm and sold in forty (40)-pound cardboard boxes. The recalled Pork Belly products were produced and packaged from June 27, 2017 to July 20, 2017.

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the USDA, the Pork Belly products subject to recall bear case code “815157” and establishment number “10” inside the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (“CFIA”) mark of inspection. These items were shipped to restaurants in Hawaii.

The problem was discovered on August 23, 2017 by Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (“FSIS”) while conducting routine failure to present monitoring activities. FSIS discovered that a shipment of Skinless Pork Belly Products entered the United States from Canada on or about July 29, 2017 and did not receive import inspection. The products were distributed to single (1) distributor and three (3) federal establishments.

There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products. Anyone concerned about a reaction should contact a healthcare provider.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Pork Belly products, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
