Additional information:
The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (“CPSC”) reports this recall involves certain BRIO Soft Hammer Baby Rattles Toys.

Each of the recalled Rattle Toys has a wooden handle with a white plastic teething ring at one end and a red, yellow, white and green hammer head at the other end. The brand, “BRIO” is stamped on the hammer head. The Rattle is approximately 5 inches long.

Please consult the photograph above for details of the product’s packaging, design and retail presentation. One (1) additional image of the recalled Baby Rattles is pictured on the Web site above.

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the CPSC, the wooden rings on the Baby Rattles can crack, posing a choking hazard to children. In addition, if any of the resulting pieces of the Rattles are swallowed, they pose ingestion and GI tract laceration hazards, both of which may require emergency medical and/or surgical intervention to resolve. At press time, BRIO had received seven (7) reports of the wooden ring cracking. No injuries have been reported.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Baby Rattles, please do not use them or let your child play with or near them. Instead, kindly contact BRIO for instructions on how to receive a full refund or a replacement product of similar value.
