The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (“CFIA”) reports the following Cakes are subject to this recall (in alphabetical order):

  • Jessica brand Chocolate Raspberry Mousse Cakes, sold in 650 gram portions with all Cakes sold up to and including August 11, 2017 affected by this recall
  • Laura Secord brand Red Berry Chocolate Mousse Cakes, sold in 485 gram portions with a product or batch/lot code of 17201 and a variable UPC
  • Laura Secord brand Red Berry Chocolate Mousse Cakes, sold in 85 gram portions with a product or batch/lot code of 17201 and a variable UPC
  • Laura Secord brand Red Berry Chocolate Mousse Cakes, sold in 90 gram portions with a product or batch/lot code of 17201 and a variable UPC
  • Michaud brand Citrus-Raspberry Greek Yogurt Mousse, sold in 650 gram portions with product or batch/lot codes of 1667, 1777, 1997, 2017 or 2077 and a UPC of 0 620737 001806
  • No brand listed Chocolate Raspberry Mousse Cakes, sold in 650 gram portions with a product or batch/lot code of 17185 and a variable UPC
  • No brand listed Raspberry Dream Cakes, sold in 1070 gram portions with a product or batch/lot code of 17192 and a variable UPC f
  • No brand listed Raspberry Mousse, sold in 35 gram portions with a product or batch/lot code of 17193 and a variable UPC
  • Top Dessert brand Mousse Sampler Cakes, sold in 725 gram portions with product or batch/lot codes of 17170 or 17185 and a variable UPC

According to the CFIA, it has recalled various Raspberry Mousse Cakes from the Canadian marketplace due to suspected Norovirus contamination. You should not consume and retailers, hotels, restaurants and institutions should not sell, or serve the recalled products identified above.

Retailers, hotels, restaurants and institutions are advised to check the labels of all Raspberry Mousse Cakes in their kitchens or check with the respective supplier to determine if you have the affected product.

The recalled Raspberry Mousse Cakes may also have been sold frozen or refrigerated, or clerk-served from bakery-pastry counters with or without a label or coding. Consumers who are unsure if they have purchased the recalled Raspberry Mousse Cakes are advised to contact your retailer.
