The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (“CFIA”) reports the following Broccoli Florettes are subject to this recall:

  • Gold Coast brand Broccettes – Broccoli Florettes, sold at Costco Wholesale Canada stores in 908 gram plastic bags with a batch/lot product code of 12 AU 2017 and a UPC of 7 35844 00033 5

According to the CFIA, Costco Wholesale Canada Ltd. has recalled certain batch/lots of old Coast brand Broccettes – Broccoli Florettes due to suspected risk of E. coli contamination O26 contamination and risk consequential bacterial infection, a serious health hazard.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Broccoli Florettes, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
