The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following Children’s Toys are subject to this recall:

  • Couturekidz Collection branded Wooden Worm Toys, a wooden worm-like toy that can be pulled using the elastic strings that connects all the blocks together and rotated around the strings.

==> No barcodes, UPCs, APNs or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

Please consult the photograph above for details of the toy’s packaging, design and retail presentation.

According to the ACCC, the affected Children’s Toys may not comply with Australia’s mandatory safety standards for toys for children up to and including 36 months of age (Consumer Protection Notice No. 14 of 2003, as amended by Consumer Protection No.1 of 2005). If plastic, wood or metal fragments are ingested, they could cut the mouth, stomach or other parts of the GI tract, cause intestinal perforation or serious infection and possibly require surgical intervention for their safe removal.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession the recalled Wooden Worm Toys, please do not let your child play with them. Instead, kindly return the Toy to the store or online outlet where you purchased it for a full refund.
