The UK Food Standards Agency (“FSA”) reports the following Baked Goods are subject to recall:

  • Booths Fruit Teacakes, sold in packages of four (4) teacakes with a best-before date of 18 July 2017 and a batch/lot code of 404221

==> No barcodes, UPCs, EANs or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the FSA, E H Booths has recalled certain batch/lots of its Fruit Teacakes due to incorrectly declared Milk, a known allergen. If you or your immediate family members are allergic or intolerant to Milk, you should not consume the food product identified above.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled Teacakes and could be allergic to their Milk ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household rubbish, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.
