Canada/Ottawa: Highliner LogoHigh Liner Foods Inc. recalls certain batch/lots of High Liner Foodservice Signature brand Breaded Calamari Rings and High Liner Signature brand Multigrain Breaded Fillets Tilapia due to undeclared Milk, a known allergen, source of dietary intolerance and possible trigger of Anaphylaxis, a serious and potential fatal situation, requiring immediate medical intervention. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (“CFIA”) reports the following Seafood are subject to this recall:

  • High Liner Foodservice Signature brand Breaded Calamari Rings, 2.27 kilogram packages with a product code of 00065758 and a UPC of 100 61763 03509 5
  • High Liner Signature brand Multigrain Breaded Fillets Tilapia, sold in 680 gram packages with a product code of 7056U, 7154U, 7011U and 7109U and a UPC of 0 61763 06935 2

According to the CFIA, High Liner Foods Inc. recalls certain batch/lots of High Liner Foodservice Signature brand Breaded Calamari Rings and High Liner Signature brand Multigrain Breaded Fillets Tilapia due to undeclared Milk, an ingredient undeclared on the respective product labels.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled Seafoods and could be allergic to their Milk ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.
