The UK Food Standards Agency (“FSA”) reports the following Energy Bars are subject to recall:

  • CLIF Bars brand Builders Chocolate Mint Protein Bars, sold in 68 gram bars with all best-before dates ranging from 05 April 2016 to 23 April 2018

==> No barcodes, UPCs, EANs or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the FSA, Clif Bar & Company has recalled certain CLIF Bars brand Builders Chocolate Mint Protein Bars due to undeclared Nuts and Peanuts as well as improperly declared Barley, Milk, Rye and Wheat. You should avoid consuming these bars if you have an allergy or intolerance to any of these ingredients.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled CLIF Bars and could be allergic to their Barley, Milk, Peanuts, Rye, Tree Nuts and/or Wheat ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household rubbish, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.
