The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following Children’s Toys are subject to this recall:

  • Le Toy Van Petilou Stacking Train Woodland Express Toys three (3) carriage pull-along wooden trains consisting of three (3) stackable blocks and sold with a SKU of PL088

==> No barcodes, UPCs, APNs or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

Please consult the photograph above for details of the toy’s packaging, design and retail presentation. One (1) additional image of the recalled Toy Trains are pictured on the Web site above.

According to the ACCC, the affected Children’s Toys may not comply with Australia’s mandatory safety standards for toys for children up to and including 36 months of age (Consumer Protection Notice No. 14 of 2003, as amended by Consumer Protection No.1 of 2005). As a result, small parts may detach from the product. If this defect occurs, the Toy Trains pose choking, ingestion and internal laceration hazards to children under the age of 36 months.

If plastic, wood or metal fragments are ingested, they could cut the mouth, stomach or other parts of the GI tract, cause intestinal perforation or serious infection and possibly require surgical intervention for their safe removal.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession the recalled Toy Trains, please do not let your child play with them. Instead, kindly return the Toy to the store or online outlet where you purchased it for a full refund.
