US FlagUS/Silver Spring: Texas Legend Foods recalls certain batch/lots of Silver Star Chipotle Dip due to undeclared Cheese, Egg and Milk, all known allergens, sources of dietary intolerance and possible triggers of Anaphylaxis, a serious and potential fatal situation, requiring immediate medical intervention. Additional information:
The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Dips are subject to this recall:

  • Silver Star Chipotle Dips, sold in six (6)-ounce clear glass jars with a batch/lot of 060AFV7A, 072AFV7A, 072AFV7B, 090AFV7A or 111AFV7A and a UPC of 819993005394. Please note: the photograph above is representative of the trade dress of recalled Dips. Artwork of actual recalled Chipotle Dip was not available at press time.

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the FDA, this recall was initiated after it was discovered that this product was distributed in packaging that did not reveal their Cheese, Egg and Milk ingredients. Subsequent investigation found the problem was caused by a temporary breakdown in the company’s production and packaging processes.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession these recalled Dips and could be allergic to their Cheese, Egg or Milk ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.
