The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (“CFIA”) reports the following Butter is subject to this recall:

  • St Laurent brand Butter, sold in 454 gram (one pound) foil-wrapped blocks with a batch/lot product code of 156 074 and a UPC of 0 62260 00454 9

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the CFIA, Maurice St-Laurent Limitée has recalled certain batch/lots of St Laurent brand Butter from the marketplace due to possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination. You should not consume the recalled Butter identified above.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Better, please do not consume it directly nor use it as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
