The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Chicken-based Salads and Wraps are subject to this recall:

  • Classic Pinwheel Appetizer Wrap Platter, 12-count: undeclared fish; misbranded; anchovies Caesar Dressing has the incorrect ingredients listed; use-by date: 7/2/17 and earlier
  • Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad, 14-ounce portion; reason for recall: undeclared fish; misbranded; anchovies are listed but “fish” is not declared as an allergen; use-by date: 7/1/17 and earlier
  • Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad, 8.5-ounce portion; reason for recall: undeclared fish; misbranded; anchovies are listed but fish is not declared as an allergen; use-by date: 7/1/17 and earlier
  • Grilled Chicken Caesar Wrap, 10-ounce portion; reason for recall: undeclared fish; misbranded; Caesar Dressing has the incorrect ingredients listed; use-by date: 7/2/17 and earlier
  • Santa Fe Grilled Chicken Wrap, 11-ounce portion; reason for recall: undeclared dairy; misbranded; anchovies Chicken (contains a dairy based additive) and cheese are not listed as an ingredient on the label; use-by date: 7/2/17 and earlier
  • Santa Fe Grilled Veggie Wrap, 12-ounce portion; reason for recall: undeclared dairy; misbranded; Cheese (contains dairy) is not listed as an ingredient on the label; use-by date: 7/2/17 and earlier

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the FDA, the recall was initiated after it was discovered the Fish-containing (Caesar Dressing) and Dairy-containing (Wraps) products were distributed in packages that did not reveal the presence of fish and milk respectively. Subsequent investigation indicated the omissions were the result of ingredient changes in the products. Production of the named products is suspended until FDA and Dierbergs are certain the labeling has been corrected.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled Grilled Chicken Caesar Wraps, Grilled Chicken Caesar Salads and Wrap Platters and could be allergic to their Fish and/or Milk ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.
