US FlagUS/Silver Spring: Lam Sheng Kee brand Frozen Fish Recall [US]Global Lamsheng Kee Inc. recalls certain batch/lots of its Frozen Fish Tofu, Frozen Fried Fish Ball and Frozen White Fish Ball due to undeclared Egg, a known allergen, source of dietary intolerance and possible trigger of Anaphylaxis, a serious and potential fatal situation, requiring immediate medical intervention. The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Frozen Processed Fish products are subject to this recall:

  • Lam Sheng Kee Frozen Fish Tofu, sold in 240 gram (8.5 ounce) plastic wrapped packages with a UPC of 4712757550542
  • Lam Sheng Kee Frozen Fried Fish Ball , sold in 227 gram (8 ounce) plastic wrapped packages with a UPC 4712757550535
  • Lam Sheng Kee Frozen White Fish Ball, sold in 910 gram (32 ounce) plastic wrapped packages with a UPC of 9555123702252

According to the FDA, this recall was initiated after it was suspected the Frozen Fish products identified above contained Egg, an allergen not listed on the food’s ingredients labels.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession these recalled Frozen Fish products and could be allergic to their Egg ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.
