US FlagUS/Silver Spring: Futaba Sesame Hijiki Rice Seasoning Recall [US]JFC International Inc. recalls certain batch/lots of Futaba Sesame Hijiki Rice Seasoning due to suspected a missing English label and consequential undeclared Fish (Bonito), Soybean and Wheat, all known allergens, sources of dietary intolerance and possible trigger of Anaphylaxis, a serious and potential fatal situation, requiring immediate medical intervention. The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Rice Seasoning are subject to this recall:

  • Futaba Sesame Hijiki Rice Seasoning, sold in 2.29 ounce glass bottles with a UPC 4 902533 023173

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the FDA, JFC International has recalled its Rice Seasoning because it was found to be missing the English Product Label for sale in the United States. In addition, due to the missing English label, the product has undeclared Fish (Bonito), Soybean and Wheat allergens.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession these recalled Rice Seasoning and could be allergic to their Fish (Bonito), Soybean and Wheat ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.
