Additional information:
The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following Chocolate is subject to this recall:

  • Hershey’s Cookies ‘n’ Creme Chocolate Block, sold in 113 gram bars in a cream-coloured plastic wrapper with a best-before date of 03/2018 or 05/2018, a batch/lot of 96E0913, 12S0911 or 12S0913 and an APN/EAN of 034000196173.

According to the ACCC, this recall was initiated due to the presence of undeclared Wheat/Gluten) and the possible presence of Almond Nuts, neither of which is declared in the allergen statement. If you have with a Wheat/Gluten allergy or intolerance or an Almond Nut allergy or intolerance you should not consume these Chocolate Blocks.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled Chocolate Products and could be allergic to their Wheat/Gluten and/or Almond Nut ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
