Additional information:
The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Baked Cinnamon Pastries are subject to this recall:

  • Kabir’s branded Bakery Cinnamon Twists, distributed in retail stores throughout New York City.
  • Kabir’s branded Bakery Cinnamon Raisin Danish Pastries, also distributed in retail stores throughout New York City.

Please consult the photograph above for details of the food’s packaging, design and retail presentation. One (1) additional image of the recalled Cinnamon Pastries can be found on the Web site above.

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the FDA, the recall was initiated after routine sampling by New York State Department of Agriculture and Market food inspectors and subsequent analysis by food laboratory personnel found that Milk was an undeclared ingredient.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled Pastries and could be allergic to their Milk ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.
