Australia FlagAustralia/Canberra: Wens Bros Elastic Luggage Strap Recall [Australia]Wens Bros Trading Pty Ltd recalls certain batch/lots of Elastic Luggage Straps (also sometimes known as “Bungee Cords” in other jurisdictions) due to suspected failure to affix required warning labels in accordance with Australia’s Consumer Goods (Elastic luggage straps) Safety Standard 2017 and consequential risk of misuse and injury hazards. The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following Luggage Straps are subject to this recall:

  • Elastic Luggage Straps, packed three (3) Straps per clear plastic bag with a blue topper with the phrases, “3PCS” and “CORREAS DEL EQUIPAJE” printed in black type

==> No barcodes, UPCs, APNs, or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the ACCC, Elastic Luggage Straps that are not labelled or improperly labelled could potentially be misused, resulting in injury to the user or bystanders.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Elastic Luggage Straps please do not use them. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
