Canada/Ottawa: Foremost brand Milk Recall [Canada]Loblaw Companies Limited recalls all current batch/lots of Foremost brand Milk Products due to suspected metal fragment contamination and consequential risk of choking, ingestion and internal ingestion and GI tract laceration damage, all serious health hazards. Additional information:
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (“CFIA”) reports the following Bottled Milk is subject to this recall:

  • Foremost brand 2% M.F. Partly Skimmed Milk, sold in 4 L jugs; affected product/ batch/lots codes: all codes; UPC: 0 61483 11533 9
  • Foremost brand 3.25% M.F. Homogenized Milk , sold in 4 L jugs; affected product/ batch/lots codes: all codes; UPC: 0 61483 10533 0

According to the CFIA, Loblaw Companies Limited has recalled all current batch/lots of Foremost brand Milk from the marketplace due to the possible presence of sharp metal fragments. You should not consume the recalled products identified above.

If plastic or metal fragments are ingested, they could cut the mouth, stomach or other parts of the GI tract, cause intestinal perforation or serious infection and possibly require surgical intervention for their safe removal.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Milk, please do not consume it directly nor use it as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
