Canada/Ottawa: Fresh Selections brand Meatballs & Spaghetti Recall [Canada]Fresh Selections Inc. recalls certain batch/lots of Fresh Selections brand Meatballs & Spaghetti due to undeclared Milk, a known allergen, source of dietary intolerance and possible trigger of Anaphylaxis, a serious and potential fatal situation, requiring immediate medical intervention. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (“CFIA”) reports the following Prepared Pasta Meals are subject to this recall:

  • Fresh Selections brand Meatballs & Spaghetti, sold in black plastic trays with a clear top-wrap and a net weight of one (1) kilogram, best-before date codes of 2017JN09 or 2017JN16 and a UPC of 7 78809 34615 4

According to the CFIA, Fresh Selections Inc. has recalled certain batch/lots of Fresh Selections brand Meatballs & Spaghetti from the marketplace because they may contain Milk, an ingredient not declared on the product label. If you have with an allergy or intolerance to Milk, you should not consume the recalled products identified above.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled Meatballs & Spaghetti Meals and could be allergic to their Milk ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.
