Canada/Ottawa: Best & Fresh Co. Stir-Fry Noodle Recall [Canada]Best & Fresh Co. Ltd. recalls certain batch/lots of Stir-Fry Chow Mein Noodles due to undeclared Eggs, a known allergen, source of dietary intolerance and possible trigger of Anaphylaxis, a serious and potential fatal situation, requiring immediate medical intervention. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (“CFIA”) reports the following Noodles are subject to this recall:

  • Best & Fresh Co. brand Stir-Fry Chow Mein Noodles, sold in 350 gram plastic pouches; affected batch/lots: all best-before dates up to and including “JN27” with a UPC of 0 68971 00102 0

Please consult the photograph above for details of the food’s packaging, design and retail presentation.

According to the CFIA, Best & Fresh Co. Ltd. has recalled certain batch/lots of Stir-Fry Chow Mein Noodles from the Canadian marketplace because they may contain Egg, an ingredient not listed on the food product’s label. If you have with an allergy or intolerance to Egg, you should not consume the recalled product identified above.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled Noodles and could be allergic to their Egg ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.
