The United States Department of Agriculture (“USDA”) reports the following Beef Broth products are subject to this recall (in alphabetical order):

  • Cauldron Broths Beef Bone Broth sold in 24-fluid ounce individual plastic pouches with best-by dates of 1/3/18 and 2/15/18.
  • Cauldron Broths Glace De Viande sold in 8-fluid ounce individual plastic containers with a best-by date of 3/4/18.
  • Cauldron Broths Glace De Viande sold in one (1) gallon individual plastic containers with a best-by date of 1/30/18.
  • Cauldron Broths Organic Cauldron’s Cure sold in 24-fluid ounce individual plastic pouches with a best-by date of 12/21/18.
  • Vital Choice Grass-Fed Beef Bone Broth, sold in 24-fluid ounce individual plastic pouches with best-by dates of 1/15/2018, 1/18/2018 and 3/28/2018.

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the USDA, the Beef Broth product subject to recall bear establishment number “EST. 45953” inside the USDA mark of inspection. These items were shipped to retail locations in the state of Washington and to a distributor that conducts Web sales direct to consumers US nationwide.

The problem was discovered when the United States Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety Inspection Service (“FSIS”) personnel found Beef Broth marked as FSIS inspected that was, in fact, produced without FSIS inspection.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure small children and pets can’t access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Beef Broth, please do not consume it directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
