The UK Food Standards Agency (“FSA”) reports the following Alcohol Beverages are subject to recall:

  • Brasserie Gluten Free Organic Pale Ale, sold in 750 ml containers. All current batch/lot codes are included in this recall.

==> No barcodes, UPCs, EANs, or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the FSA, ALDI has recalled all current batch/lots of Brasserie Gluten Free Organic Pale Ale Beer because they contain Barley, an ingredient not mentioned on the label. This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to Barley. The product reportedly does not pose a risk to consumers with Coeliac (Celiac) Disease.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Pale Ale and could be allergic to their Barley ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household rubbish, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.
