Health Canada/Santé Canada (“HCSC”) reports the following Botanical Supplement is subject to this recall:

  • High By Nature, comprised of crushed Kratom Leaves and sold at 100% strength in retail shops in the Canadian provinces of AB, BC, MB, ON, PE and SK as well as on the Web.

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers such as DINs, NPNs, DIN-HIMs were listed with this recall notification.

According to Health Canada, Kratom (Mitragyna speciosa), the active ingredient in the recalled High By Nature product, is an herbal substance that may pose serious health risks when swallowed or inhaled. Known side effects include drowsiness, nausea, vomiting, seizures, liver toxicity and excessively rapid heartbeat (“Tachycardia”). Kratom has been linked to both narcotic and stimulant-like effects, and therefore, has potential for abuse and dependence.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled High By Nature Botanical Supplements, please do not use them. Instead, kindly return the product to the store or online outlet where you purchased it for a full refund.
