The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following Inbuilt Space Heaters are subject to this recall:

  • Rinnai Symmetry Inbuilt Gas Log Effect Space Heaters, model designations: RDV3610ETR and RDV3611ETR, manufactured from 2010 onward.

==> No barcodes, UPCs, APNs, or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the ACCC, a combination of rare operational circumstances may cause delayed ignition due to low gas pressure. This may cause the mesh-guard to separate from the front of the recalled Inbuilt Space Heaters or the glass front to break, posing a risk of injury to the user.
