The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Onion Rings are subject to this recall:

  • Red Robin Burgers and Brews branded Crispy Onion Rings, sold in 14-ounce plastic bags with a sell-by date code of OCT 28 2018, a product batch/code of 6906711841 HH:MM (where “HH:MM” indicates the hour and minute at which the Onions Rings were physically produced) and a UPC of 0 43301 61119 3
  • Red Robin Burgers and Brews branded Crispy Onion Rings, sold in 14-ounce plastic bags with a sell-by date code of OCT 29 2018, a product batch/code of 6906711941 HH:MM (where “HH:MM” indicates the hour and minute at which the Onions Rings were physically produced) and a UPC of 0 43301 61119 3

According to the FDA, this recall was initiated after it was discovered that Fry Foods, Lamb Weston’s contracted primary supplier for these Onion Rings, had allegedly packed the Onion Rings that contain Milk in packaging that did not reveal the presence of Milk.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Onion Rings and could be allergic to their Milk ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.
