The United States Department of Agriculture (“USDA”) reports the following Beef Chile Colorado Meals subject to this recall:

  • Saffron Road Beef Chile Colorado with Mesquite Black Beans & Garlic Rice, sold in 10-ounce retail cartons with best-by date codes of 05/23/18 AP

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the USDA, the products subject to recall do not bear a USDA establishment number on the packaging because the company was producing an FDA-regulated product. These items, however, were shipped to distribution centers located in Pennsylvania and Texas.

The problem was discovered after the firm received a consumer complaint. The recalled products labeled as Beef Chile Colorado actually contains Cheese Enchiladas, a meal made with milk as an ingredient. Milk is a known allergen but is not declared on the mislabeled product label.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled Blount Fine Foods Beef Chile Colorado Meals and could be allergic to their Milk ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure small children and pets can’t access the suspect food.
