The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (“CFIA”) reports the following Children’s Cookies are subject to this recall:

  • Barbara’s brand Snackimals – Oatmeal Animal Cookies, sold in 28 gram pouches with a product code of BBD 2017 JUL 14, an individual UPC of 0 70617 03562 7 and a group UPC (for six (6) packages) of 0 70617 03561 0.
  • Barbara’s brand Snackimals – Chocolate Chip Animal Cookies, sold in 28 gram pouches with a product code of BBD 2017 JUL 07, an individual UPC of 0 70617 03552 8 and a group UPC (for six (6) packages) of 0 70617 03551 0.
  • Barbara’s brand Snackimals – Chocolate Chip Animal Cookies, sold in 28 gram pouches with a product code of BBD 2017 JUL 06, an individual UPC of 0 70617 03552 8 and a group UPC (for six (6) packages) of 0 70617 03551 0.

According to the CFIA, this recall was initiated due to suspected food spoilage and rancidity. You and your children should not consume the Cookies listed above.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Cookies, please do not consume them directly, feed them to your child nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
