The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Non-Dairy Milk is subject to this recall:

  • Whole Foods branded Non-Dairy Spiced Golden Milk, sold in 16 fluid ounce plastic bottles, with a best-by date of May 7, 2017 and a UPC code of 1337702154.

According to the FDA, Urban Remedy has recalled the above latch/lot of Whole Foods branded Non-Dairy Spiced Golden Milk because it was incorrectly labeled as “Cold Pressed Apple Juice”. The products were sold in selected Whole Foods Market stores in Arizona, California and Nevada and contained Cashew ingredients, although these were not listed on the product labels.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Non-Dairy Milk and could be allergic to its Cashew Nut ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.
