Additional information:
The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Dip Trio Mixes are subject to this recall:

  • The Dip Trio Mix product contains a dry mix packaged in a plastic barrier bag labeled “Jalapeno Bacon” and inserted into a red box marked, “Dip Trio Mix”. Specific batch/lot codes subject to this recall include K110420161, K111220161 and K111120161, located on the top of the box.

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the FDA, this recall was initiated after supplier’s recent recall of Jalapeno Powder that could contain Salmonella. Although no Salmonella was found in the Jalapeno Powder supplied to Phoenix Food, the company has decided to recall these products out of an abundance of caution.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Dip Trio Mixes, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the Dip Trio Mixes to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
