UK/London: Fazal’s recalls five (5) Confectionery Products due to undeclared Wheat (Gluten), a known allergen, source of dietary intolerance and possible trigger of Anaphylaxis, a serious and potential fatal situation, requiring immediate medical intervention. FSA: http://ht.ly/AeCN30b03u0
The UK Food Standards Agency (“FSA”) reports the following Confectionery are subject to recall (in alphabetical order):
- Fazal’s Badana, pack size: 350 gram package with a best-before end date of 10 April 2017
- Fazal’s Jalebi, pack size: 350 gram package with a best-before end date of 10 April 2017
- Fazal’s Namak Para, pack size: 300 gram package with a best-before end date of 1 May 2017
- Fazal’s Rasgulla, pack size: 380 gram package with a best-before end date of 20 April 2017
- Fazal’s Saker Para, pack size: 300 gram package with a best-before end date of 5 May 2017
==> No barcodes, UPCs, EANs, or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the FSA, Fazal’s has recalled five (5) Confectionery products because they contain Wheat (Gluten), an ingredient that is not declared on the food label. If you have an allergy or intolerance to Wheat or Gluten, you should not consume this food product.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession these recalled Confectionery and could be allergic to their Wheat (Gluten) ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.
