Canada/Ottawa: High Liner Foods Inc. recalls certain batch/lots of High Liner Captain’s Crew brand Breaded Fish Strips and Breaded Fish Nuggets due to undeclared Milk, a known allergen, source of dietary intolerance and possible trigger of Anaphylaxis, a serious and potential fatal situation, requiring immediate medical intervention. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (“CFIA”) reports the following processed Fish Products are subject to this recall:
- High Liner Captain’s Crew brand Breaded Fish Strips, sold in 750 gram cardboard boxes with product codes 7082U, 7048U, 7006U or 6293U followed by a time stamp and a UPC of 0 61763 06871 3
- High Liner Captain’s Crew brand Breaded Fish Strips, sold in 750 gram cardboard boxes with product codes 7082U, 7048U or 7006U followed by a time stamp and a UPC of 0 61763 06875 1

According to the CFIA, High Liner Foods Inc. has recalled certain batch/lots of High Liner Captain’s Crew Breaded Fish Strips and Breaded Fish Nuggets from the marketplace because they may contain Milk, an ingredient not declared on the food product label. People with an allergy or intolerance to Milk should not consume the recalled products identified above.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession these recalled Fish Products and could be allergic to their Milk ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.
