The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Almond Drinking Powder is subject to this recall:

  • Feng Mao Biotechnology Almond Drinking Powder, sold in 600 gram canisters with a UPC of 4714582563070 and the following batch/lot expiration dates (in yyyy/m/d format):
    • 2017/4/27
    • 2017/4/21
    • 2017/5/24
    • 2017/6/8
    • 2017/6/20
    • 2017/8/18
    • 2017/9/7
    • 2017/9/7
    • 2017/10/26
    • 2017/11/30
    • 2018/1/24
    • 2018/3/11
    • 2018/12/17

According to the FDA, Feng Mao Biotechnology Organic Food Co. has recalled certain batch/lots of Almond Drinking Powder sold in 600 gram canisters because they may contain Peanuts, an ingredient not listed on the product label. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to Peanuts run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume any of the items identified above.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled Drinking Powders and could be allergic to their Peanut ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.
