The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following All Terrain Vehicles are subject to this recall:

  • Polaris Sportsman Touring All Terrain Vehicles
  • Polaris Sportsman XP850 All Terrain Vehicles
  • Polaris Sportsman XP1000 All Terrain Vehicles

==> No barcodes, UPCs, APNs, or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification. According to the ACCC, the exhaust manifold side panel on the recalled ATVs may contact the exhaust system causing the panel to melt. If contact is made the melting exhaust panel poses a fire hazard.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession the recalled All Terrain Vehicles, please do not use them. Instead, contact their nearest dealer and arrange to have the manifold side panel replaced. Additional heat shields will also be fitted to prevent the panel from melting and causing a fire hazard.
