The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Salads are subject to this recall:
- Organic Marketside Spring Mix Salads sold exclusively at Walmart Stores in 5-ounce clear plastic containers with a production code of G089B19 and a best-if-used-by date of APR 14, 2017 (located on the front label) and a UPC of 6 8113132897 5 located on the bottom of the container. At this time, it is thought that the recalled Salad Mixes were distributed in the following US states: AL, FL, GA, LA, MS, NC, SC and VA.
According to the FDA, Fresh Express initiated the recall after it was notified that extraneous animal matter, specifically suspected Bat Body Parts, were allegedly found in a single container of the Salad. Because the recalled Salads Mixes were sold exclusively at Walmart, the retailer has also recalled the food products
