The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Chili Kits are subject to this recall:
- Hunt’s Chili Kit, sold in 44.8-ounce packages with a manufacturer/batch code of 3534619500, a date code of Apr 04, 2018 and a UPC of 20-0-27000-42063-2
- Hunt’s Chili Kit, sold in 44.8-ounce packages with a manufacturer/batch code of 3534622200, a date code of May 01, 2018 and a UPC of 20-0-27000-42063-2
- Hunt’s Chili Kit 44.8, sold in 44.8-ounce packages with a manufacturer/batch code of 3534619600, a date code of Apr 05, 2018 and a UPC of 20-0-27000-42063-2

According to the FDA, Conagra Brands has recalled the above batch/lots of Hunt’s Chili Kits due to the potential presence of Salmonella in the Chili seasoning packet contained in the kit. The Chili Seasoning used in the packet originated from a supplier who informed the company of the potential presence of Salmonella in a raw material used in the Chili seasoning.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.
If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Chili Kits, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the Kits to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
