Canada/Ottawa: Purposeful Excellence Inc. expands its existing recall for additional batch/lots of Booby Boons brand Lactation Cookies due to suspected undeclared Peanuts, a known allergen, source of dietary intolerance and possible trigger of Anaphylaxis, a serious and potential fatal situation, requiring immediate medical intervention. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (“CFIA”) reports the following Cookies are subject to this recall:
- Booby Boons brand Lactation Cookies – Chocolate Chip flavour, sold in 168 gram packages with best-before dates up to and including MAR07/2018 and a UPC of 6 27843 52531 8
- Booby Boons brand Lactation Cookies – Cocoa Quinoa flavour, sold in 168 gram packages with best-before dates up to and including MAR07/2018 and a UPC of 6 27843 52526 4
- Booby Boons brand Lactation Cookies – Oatmeal Raisin flavour, sold in 168 gram packages with best-before dates up to and including MAR07/2018 and a UPC of 6 27843 52525 7

According to the CFIA, Purposeful Excellence has recalled the above batch/lots of Booby Boons brand Lactation Cookies from the marketplace because they may contain Peanuts, an ingredient not declared on the product label. If you have an allergy to Peanuts, you should not consume the recalled product listed above.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession these recalled Lactation Cookie and could be allergic to their Peanut ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.
