US/Washington: Wing Enterprises recalls an estimated 37,000 Little Giant Ladders due to suspected locking pin failure and consequential fall and injury hazards. CPSC: http://ht.ly/hxN630agFeZ
The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (“CPSC”) reports this recall involves Little Giant Velocity, LT and Liberty Multipurpose Ladders. The Ladders have joints that allow it to bend and lock in various positions.
- The brand, “Little Giant”, the model name, model number and part number are printed on the side of the Ladder.

Ladders included in the recall have one of the following date codes stamped on the outer rail below the red locking pin (in alphanumeric order):
==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.
According to the CPSC, the Ladder’s locking pins/rung fasteners can fail, posing fall and injury hazards to a person on the Ladder and those nearby. Wing Enterprises has received two reports of locking pins/rung fasteners failing. No injuries have been reported.
If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Ladders, please do not use them. Instead, kindly contact Wing Enterprises for a free repair kit with ABS nylon inserts that the customer can install without the use of tools.
