Additional information:
The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Energy Bars are subject to this recall:

  • 20/20 Life Styles Yogurt Peanut Crunch Bars, sold in single bars packaged in a predominantly white foil/plastic wrappers with a best-by date code of BB 22JUL17 (meaning “best-by July 22, 2017”) and a UPC 78571 00052.

Please consult the photograph above for details of the food’s packaging, design and retail presentation.

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the FDA, the recall was initiated after Pro Sports Club’s manufacturer for the Energy Bars notified the company that an ingredient used in the Yogurt Peanut Crunch Bars was recalled by its primary supplier, namely the Soy Nut Butter Company of Glenview, Illinois, due to suspected E. Coli O157:H7 contamination.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Yogurt Peanut Crunch Bars, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the Energy Bars to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
