US/Silver Spring: Riviana Foods Inc. recalls an estimated 610 cases of certain coded Ronzoni Thin Spaghetti cartons due to undeclared Egg, a known allergen, source of dietary intolerance and possible trigger of Anaphylaxis, a serious and potential fatal situation, requiring immediate medical intervention. The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Pasta is subject to this recall:
- Ronzoni brand Thin Spaghetti, sold in 16-ounce boxes with a manufacturing code of JAN 20 19 K and a UPC of 71300 000097
Please consult the photograph above for details of the food’s packaging, design and retail presentation.
According to the FDA, Riviana Foods has recalled an estimated 610 cases of Ronzoni brand Thin Spaghetti cartons that may contain an Egg Fettuccine product. The affected Ronzoni Thin Spaghetti cartons do not declare the allergen “Egg”, an ingredient in the Egg Fettuccine product.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Thin Spaghetti and could be allergic to its Egg ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.
