Canada/Ottawa: PastaCo recalls certain batch/lots of PastaCo brand Bolognese Sauce due to suspected Clostridium botulinum contamination and consequential bacterial infection hazard. CFIA: http://ht.ly/87OC30a1DXm
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (“CFIA”) reports the following Sauces are subject to this recall:
- PastaCo brand Bolognese Sauce, sold in 750 jars; affected batch/lots: all product codes up to and including a best-before date of August 23, 2017 with the exception of codes 9/01123 best-before July 20, 2017 and 9/01104 best-before May 07, 2017 and a UPC of 7 77192 51131 6.

According to the CFIA, PastaCo has recalled the above batch/lots of PastaCo brand Bolognese Sauce from the marketplace because they may permit the growth of Clostridium botulinum. You should not consume the recalled product identified above.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.
If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Bolognese Sauce, please do not consume it directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
