The UK Food Standards Agency (“FSA”) reports the following Vitamin D3 Tablets are subject to recall:

  • SunVit-D3 5000IU Tablets, sold in cards of 28 tablets with a best-before end date of February 2019 and a batch code of 128057

==> No barcodes, UPCs, EANs, or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

Please consult the photograph above for details of the food’s packaging, design and retail presentation.

According to the FSA, SunVit-D3 has recalled the above batch/lot of SunVit-D3 5000IU Tablets because they may contain Lactose, an ingredient not declared on the outer label. This means the Vitamin could be a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to Milk or Milk Constituents.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled Vitamin D3 Tablets and could be allergic to their Lactose ingredient, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.
