UK/London: Tesco recalls all current batch/lots of Frozen Spaghetti Bolognese due to undeclared Egg, a known allergen, source of dietary intolerance and possible trigger of Anaphylaxis, a serious and potential fatal situation, requiring immediate medical intervention. FSA: http://ht.ly/srv0309Q7bL
The UK Food Standards Agency (“FSA”) reports the following Spaghetti is subject to recall:
- Tesco Frozen Spaghetti Bolognese, sold in 400 gram packages; affected batch/lots: all date codes of the product are affected by this recall.
==> No barcodes, UPCs, EANs, or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the FSA, Tesco has recalled the above product from customers and will be contacting the relevant allergy support organisations, which in turn, tell their members about this recall. Tesco has also displayed a point-of-sale notice in its stores.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled Spaghetti Products and could be allergic to their Egg ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.
